"I think that I shall never see..."

American poet Joyce Kilmer often paid homage to nature in his work, perhaps most famously in the 1913 poem, "Trees," the opening verse of which is quoted in the title above. Today, trees continue to inspire: Trees offering shaded respite on a hot summer day; trees with branches swaying in a storm; trees painting the autumn landscape in bright oranges and yellows and reds; dried leaves crunching underfoot; ice covered branches sparkling in the winter sun; snow covered evergreens glistening in the moonlight. Really, it is hard to find anything more perfect than a tree.
