Springtime

It is around this time of year, when winter has overstayed its welcome, that I begin longing for spring. I impatiently wait for spring rain showers and low, rumbling thunderstorms; for trees to unfurl their greenery and flowers to bloom and bring some color back to the landscape; for birds to return and fill the air with their playful song, signaling the warmer, lazier days to come.
