I think this is a fantastic idea with a lot of potential! I know nothing about creating videos, but am wondering if a small version of the static treasury could somehow be included. The reason being that the photos in the video are blurry. Maybe those pictures need to be higher resolution and that would solve the problem?

Just my 2 cents.

I just watched one of the videos and it is a fantastic idea, blurry or not! It will take time to work out the bugs, but it is a wonderful start. THANK YOU for all you do. I am so thankful to be part of such a fantastic group.

I was very impressed. It's great. I've never done a treasury but will start one this week. This has prompted me to get going.

Kristina & All!

Yes, Youtube is a great place to promo/market yourself & the team. I've been making many videos this year, as compainions to my own website & etsy page. Sometimes I will show my paintings in a step by step manner or just weave a set of paintings together to promo all the work I have on my own & etsy shop.
Here are a couple examples:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2QPX-Hv5fk (my girlfriends site...she is a design team member also)
(kinda turning them into short films these day! lol)
I have a few more on my youtube site.
Anyway, not sure if you are aware, but Etsy does have a Youtube page
http://www.youtube.com/user/etsy
They post tips sometimes on how to market.
I might suggest that when you add your 'tags' or even titles to you videos, it's best to add Etsy somewhere in there. I do try to add as much to the video as well...so that it ties in nicely with Etsy..(I think they have a few rules on what you can link from their main site!)
Maybe also add the etsy sellers names to the video, when their pictures come up? I know you probably don't want to gum up the videos with too much info, so just a thought. If it seems like too much to add to the video itself, I'd suggest putting as much info about the treasury, design team & the sellers on the "more Info" section (to the right of the video screen) You can add live links to each member of the treasury & the design team!

As far as the rest goes for marketing...That is a good question. It does take time to make a channel that draws in many. I think you have a great idea for the team!! Thanks Kristina & I look forward to more info about this.
Best,
Anthony

Wonderful Kristina! I can't get over how much work you and the rest of the crew are doing! This has wonderful promise. I've done treasuries before and will do them again with THIS group as my target group. I tried getting onto Treasury this morning and couldn't get in....but just was notified by Etsy that all is fine now. I'll try and get some put together for you within the next day or two as soon as I can get an opening. Also, if you'll send me the code for the blog roll I'll get that in my blog....thanks again! Laurie B.

I think this is an excellent and fun idea. I really enjoyed watching them. I agree that it would be nice if the artist name or etsy shop was somewhere with their item. I also noticed that a few times I wasn't sure what the item was because it was so close- up the whole time, I hope that makes sense.
